so2r_mala On picture you can see SO2R at the beginning of 2008. Almost all is functional and station is fully automated.

Two SAC X antenna controllers communicates with radios takes care about all switching in shack.

Rotary towers and 2L80 rotor are controlled with new RAC X – Rotor antenna controllers. Those ones on picture are prototypes, or to be exact – those are 0 series samples with all options built in. Manipulating is now quick and safe.

Both radios are FT1k Mark series loaded with INRAD filters. It is very important to have both radios the same. Less confusion.

Linear amplifiers are OM Power, manual tuned. Final plan is to have at least one auto tune amplifier (or both), but it is last on my priority list. Somehow, I can live with manual tuned ones. OM Power amps are easy to be tuned and one when you carefully put stickers with marked tuning positions amps are semiautomatic. Thanks to protections on amplifier you will be saved even if you even forget to change band switch (it happened many times)

Next step, planed to be finish before CQ WW 2009 is to replace SAC X controllers with new ones, to add remote keyboard on SAC X and to put up all antennas.

grupa-4o3t-mala During last 5 years, I have been visited by many world famous contesters and DXers, and my friends.

Most of them visited me more than once. Simply, they like country, location and respect my hospitality. Personally enjoy in friendship with nice peoples. It is amazing to have legends as K1ZZ, OH2BH, KP2A and many others in your shack.

On pictures below you can see some of  them.

skica-mala New towers are lifting. Action started at the end of March, leading by Simo, 4N1SM and first tower is finished at beginning of April. As we had bad weather condition suddenly, erecting of second tower is delayed for 20th April, when most of the antennas will be assembled and mounting on Tower one. Layout of antennas on tower 1 are shown on picture left..

EZNEC files of antennas you can download here:

10M, 5 elements yagi on 7,5m boom
15M, 5 elements yagi on 10m boom
20M, 4 elements yagi on 10m boom

Antennas are designed by Deni, T93M (tnx Deni) and built by YT6A each antenna has CMC balun and some of antenna stacks will be switch able with many options. It provides possibility to listen on the most quite antenna combination, depending on propagation and local static noise conditions.
